Backup Job Management & Restore Assistance (Remote)
Scope (Included)
For backup systems and jobs identified as in-scope Managed Assets, Everbex will:
- Configure and maintain backup jobs according to the backup plan agreed with Customer (sources, schedule, retention, target).
- Monitor backup job status and perform basic troubleshooting for failed or incomplete jobs.
- Notify Customer of repeated backup failures and recommend corrective actions (e.g. increase storage, adjust schedule).
- Perform test restores or production restores upon Customer request, within agreed timeframes, subject to available backup data.
- Provide basic backup status reporting (e.g. monthly overview of job success/failure).

Backup Job Management & Restore Assistance (Remote)
Service Overview
Everbex Managed Service for CyberGuardian Protect Cloud is a fully guided, operational layer on top of your CyberGuardian subscription. We configure, monitor, and maintain your backup jobs based on an agreed backup plan, and we provide restore assistance when you need to recover files, systems, or workloads—helping you keep business data protected, resilient, and recovery-ready.
Built to support organizations that need secure cloud backup with data sovereignty in Malaysia and resilient infrastructure hosted in a Tier-3 data center with 99.9% uptime SLA.
This Managed Service add-on can be applied to any CyberGuardian Protect Cloud plan:
1 Server plans (VALUE/PRO/PREMIUM/ULTIMATE)
1 VM plans (VALUE/PRO/PREMIUM/ULTIMATE)
1 Workstation plans (VALUE/PRO/PREMIUM/ULTIMATE)
It supports your included feature set such as: self-managed portal, backup/restore (file/folder and machine-level where applicable), monitoring/reporting, vulnerability assessment for Windows OS (excluding 3rd-party products), and remote desktop.
Default Coverage (Included):8×5 Business Hours
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Malaysia Time)
Excluding Malaysian public holidays (unless otherwise agreed)
Optional Upgrade: 24×7 Coverage
For customers who require after-hours operational response and restores, 24×7 coverage is available as an add-on.
For backup systems and jobs identified as in-scope Managed Assets, Everbex will:
1) Backup Plan Implementation & Job Configuration
Configure backup jobs (sources, schedules, retention, storage targets) based on the agreed backup plan
Apply recommended best practices for backup configuration
Ensure encryption settings are enabled as required (where applicable)
2) Backup Job Monitoring & Operational Management
Monitor backup job status and take action on failed/incomplete jobs (within coverage hours)
Perform first-level troubleshooting and tuning (e.g., schedule adjustment, retention alignment, basic agent checks)
Escalate to customer when access, system change, storage expansion, or infrastructure action is required
3) Restore Assistance (On Request)
Assist with test restore and production restore requests
Restore actions are performed within your subscribed support coverage (8×5 or 24×7)
4) Reporting
Monthly backup health summary (job success/failure overview and key observations)
- 8×5 customers: incidents and restore requests are handled during Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm
24×7 customers: incidents and restore requests can be handled anytime, including nights/weekends/public holidays
For out-of-coverage requests (8×5 plan), Everbex can either:
- queue and respond on the next business day, or
- handle after-hours as ad-hoc billable support (if customer requests and access is available)
Provide correct backup requirements (RPO/RTO targets, retention, exclusions, critical systems list). note: near-zero RPO/RTO capability and fast restore options, but the exact targets must be agreed per workload.
Provide access/credentials required for agent deployment, backup sources, and approved storage targets.
Confirm restore requests (what to restore, where, when) and validate application-level consistency after recovery (especially for databases/apps).
Restore success depends on available backup data and the integrity of the backed-up source.
Windows vulnerability assessment applies to Windows OS scope and excludes 3rd-party products (as stated).
Issues outside backup scope (WAN outages, endpoint hardware faults, application bugs, OS corruption unrelated to backup operations) may require separate incident/project support.
